Days until the World Cup ...

Welcome back to Joburg!!

Imagine ...

Kiera took some cool pictures of us both (she has a longer arm).

Strawberry Fields

Our pilgrimage to Strawberry Fields ...

Quiet Zone

See the person sleeping in the background?!?

Central Park

It's amazing to be in the tranquility (or near tranquility) of Central Park and when you look up there are tall buildings in the background! We bought a bagel and a donut from a New York Vendor (and a cup of tea in a paper bag?!?) and went for a wander into Central Park.

Gapstow Bridge ...

Rockafeller from below

We were up on the observation deck.

Outside the Rockafeller ...

Love the clouds ...

For my mum ...

It's a bit obscured by the Metalife building (hence just it's top) ... but you know what it is :o)

Proof that we were really in New York ...

New York in Black and White ...

From the Rockafeller

It was definitely a highlight to be at the top of the Rockafeller Center at dusk. There are far too many pictures of the same thing here but I like them all!!

Looking out of Central Park

The rivers and bridges ...

The Statue of Liberty (good zoom on the camera!)

Lots of tall buildings ...

The Empire State building (there are a few pics!)

The Village ...

Hop-On Hop-Off Walk ...

We walked a HUGE chunk of the bus tour due to a small misreading of the street names (and wondering why we couldn't see the bus!) but managed to tie in some shopping as we wandered. We got the bus at the tip of Manhattan and headed back to Mid-town.

Brooklyn Bridge

Battery Park

Battery Park is right down on the southern tip of Manhattan. Surounded by people flogging fake watches, handbags and all sorts (saw a cool Celtic picture inamongst!), we ate an ice cream and looked at our Lady Liberty ...
