Table Mountain, Cape Town

Advice given is that if you get to Cape Town and it's a nice day (ie no clouds) then get up Table Mountain as quickly as possible because chances are the next day will be cloudy! This was my first trip up Table Mountain!

We went up the short way (Cable Car!).

View over the 12 Apostles
Looking down from the top!

View down on the beaches

Just incase you were wondering how far to Glasgow (or Dublin)!

My Dad's Birthday

We celebrated my Dad's birthday at the Stellenbosch Hotel.

Gemsbok, Kudu, Ostrich and Wildebeest

Hermanus!

Hermanus is a little place along the coast known for whales. Thankfully the whales come to the coast and can be seen from dry land.
There were some sightings when we were there (supposedly), but I can't confess that I saw anything resembling a whale! And it was pouring with rain inamongst!

Nearest I got to seeing one with my actual eyes was this one which jumped out of the water and got stuck in the road!

R44 up the coast ...

The coastal drive (R44) is one of my favourites - mountains on one side, beaches and coast on the other - it's beautiful ... and all visitors are subject to it!
Little Silver!

McNivens

With love from my favourite Scottish-American restaurant ... a McNivens t-shirt! Thanks, I love it!
