Oudsthoorn (which I can't pronounce properly!) has just about all of the world's ostrich population apart from a few scattered here and there! It's possible to visit them in Oudsthoorn and even sit on them or have an ostrich race ... unfortunately the day we were there it had been stormy and they don't race when the ground is still muddy ... ostrich racing is a bizarre enough thought, let alone sliding ostrich races!
