On Christmas day we helped serve Christmas lunch (chicken, rice, bit of salad) to the kids, aunties (Tias) ... and then to about 1500 village folk ...

the little ones ... and tias ....Carolyn and I were the heavy-mob in directing the village folk to the lunch spot. They had invited the whole village for Christmas lunch ... and it was remarkably un-chaotic! And such a pleasure to wish the folks walking by "Feliz Natal" ... our attempt at Happy Christmas in Portugese ... and "Salami" (no doubt not spelled like that!), a tribal greeting!
