On Christmas day we helped serve Christmas lunch (chicken, rice, bit of salad) to the kids, aunties (Tias) ... and then to about 1500 village folk ...
Carolyn and I were the heavy-mob in directing the village folk to the lunch spot. They had invited the whole village for Christmas lunch ... and it was remarkably un-chaotic! And such a pleasure to wish the folks walking by "Feliz Natal" ... our attempt at Happy Christmas in Portugese ... and "Salami" (no doubt not spelled like that!), a tribal greeting!
